Educators understand and use data to drive their instruction and support students in achieving their learning goals.

This was an assignment that started its life as a standard written essay with a little bit of flexibility in terms of topic.  I later decided to add alternative pathways such as video or audio essays to allow students to demonstrate their learning through other means.  This will give some students a creative outlet and others a better means of demonstrating their learning if writing essays does not come easy for them.

This is a test from an eBenefits guide book I wrote for veterans or people who work with veterans to learn how to better use the eBenefits platform.  This test is unique for an online exam in that it not only requires knowledge from memory, but it also requires learners to perform a learning objective and upload proof that they have done so.  The upload button on this form is a fake because I do not want people uploading any files through this location.

The use of peer mentors had proven effective for many of my coworkers.  I decided to apply for and was accepted into the Peer Advisors for Veterans in Education (PAVE) program to help my student veteran population, but not before looking into the effectiveness of employing a small scale mentorship program on campus. While I will not share student data here, the percentages below show how well student veterans did with and without peer mentors.  The video below the percentages shows testimonials into the effectiveness of PAVE as a program on one of the partner campuses.
