The campus student veteran club came to me wanting to conduct a panel to discuss diversity in the military as a part of our university’s diversity week.  I agreed to facilitate in terms of booking the room, the tech, and the catering.  Unfortunately, the student government postponed diversity week due to scheduling conflicts.  The student veterans still wanted to conduct their panel so that they could make positive contributions and build relationships within the community.  To give them a platform to share their stories, I decided to stream and record their video for others to see.  The video of this panel is posted below.

This is a digital citizenship poster that is designed specifically for veterans.  I tied in themes of digital citizenship with parts of the soldiers kit; helmet for protection, body armor for safeguarding, the muzzle for fighting back against cyberbullying, the patch for respect, and the knee for balance.  The hope with this poster is that the symbolism will help the messages stick.

This video was created to help inspire students and parents to employ screen time effectively instead of simply as unconscious consumers.  I highlight some of the negatives that can come from abusing screen time, while also showing that screen time, when used effectively, can greatly aid in academic and professional success.

This is a poster to illustrate proper use of computers within the Veteran Resource Center.  The hopes for this poster is that by following these rules, users will remain safe online and practice respectful online discourse habits.
